What are the pain treatment options?

The back pain treatments you will receive at our clinics have been designed to cause you minimal pain and discomfort. Our team of doctors are committed to doing everything to ensure that surgery is avoided, They can do this through the following treatments.

Lumbar Radiofrequency Ablation: This treatment is used to treat chronic lower back pain. It is a minimally invasive procedure that uses heat applied through a needle to the area that is causing the pain signals. When this is done nerves that generate pain impulses are denervated which results in a reduction in pain, for months. This treatment is used as a treatment for long term relief.

SI Joint Injection: This treatment is administered while you lie on your stomach. A needle, guided by fluoroscopy dye and X-rays, is inserted into the sacroiliac joint. Patients are first given a dose of anesthetic around the affected area before the procedure begins.

Lumbar Facet Injection: This type of treatment is most commonly used on patients who have pain associated with arthritis or mechanical lower back pain. Lumbar facet injections numb the nerves around the affected area and can be applied to more than one joint or area. This treatment can be helpful in determining the cause of the pain and is most commonly used to help patients manage the pain associated with their physical therapy treatment.

Lumbar Epidural. The purpose of this treatment is to reduce pain. It is a minimally invasive procedure that delivers pain medicine to the epidural space and this form of treatment can last up to several years. This treatment allows your to get back to your normal life by reducing the amount of pain you are experiencing in your back.
